KSMT “The Mountain” has been called the best radio station ever! We challenge you to find a station that plays the kind of mix of great music that we do! We are Summit County’s Radio, and we are a station that really rocks! Find us at 102.1 and 102.7 on your FM Dial.
Our play list is very extensive and includes a unique mix of Modern Rock and retro favorites, underground and old-school hip hop, and a healthy dose of Jam Rock, for that “mountain flavor” we all love here in the Rockies.
KSMT listeners have active lifestyles, and we support that to the fullest with our contests (giving away a heli-ski trip every year) and the fun and challenging events we sponsor (such as the annual Ullr Fest in Breckenridge and 36 Hours of Keystone)
KSMT offers local specialty shows to fit the likes of our listeners. The long-running Friday Funk Show is a favorite break from our regular format, and allows us to get funky on Friday afternoons from 4-7PM. We offer two hip-hop shows on Saturday and Sunday nights that will get you fired up on the weekends. We also have What’s On Tap? – a specialty show about live music coming to the area, as live music is a major passion of many of our listeners. We have Eggs over Irie, two hours of Reggae on Sunday mornings from 10-Noon, and Keller’s Cellar, a syndicated eclectic mix of music showcased by recording artist, Keller Williams
KSMT The Mountain is very involved in the community, and are always striving to do more. The KSMT Community Connection Scholarship is the newest addition to our community service program, giving $1021.00 monthly to a Summit High student for their future education. On Monday nights we air Ritmo Latino- a specialty show made especially for the local Hispanic community. We hold Bluegrass and Greens, an annual golf tournament at The Raven Golf Course that benefits a local children’s charity, a Food Coat and Toy drive which benefits the Advocates for Victims of Assault, and many other philanthropic opportunities we have, we take on with much gusto (our media team won the 36 Hours of Keystone Media Challenge and was able to donate $1800 to the Keystone Science School this year)
KSMT also throw great events that you will definitely want to check out! We have TWO Breckenridge Beer Festivals every year (April and July) and a Wine Festival at Main Street Station. We throw a party at Arapahoe Basin at the end of every ski season- called Local’s Day, and that is just the stuff we ALWAYS do, let alone anything that comes our way we want to make happen for the fun of it!
KSMT The Mountain is the oldest radio station here in SummitCounty, we are truly live and local, We play what our listeners want to hear and listen to what they have to say. Please contact us here online with your feedback, we’d love to hear from you!
